Job Summary:

The DRC-Business Analyst 2 (BA2) is a mid-level role responsible for leading requirements gathering, analyzing business processes, and supporting solution delivery. The analyst will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure clear, complete, and traceable requirements throughout the project lifecycle. This role requires strong analytical skills, experience with Azure DevOps or similar tools, and excellent communication abilities. Agile experience and SQL knowledge are preferred. The position starts as remote with an eventual transition to an in-office location in Columbus, Ohio.

Responsibilities:

• Lead requirements elicitation sessions with business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Analyze and document business processes, workflows, and system interactions.
• Develop detailed business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Ensure requirements are clear, complete, and traceable throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with architects and developers to align solutions with business needs.
• Support testing activities by creating test cases, validating functionality, and coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Identify gaps, risks, and dependencies; propose mitigation strategies.
• Act as a primary point of contact for business units during project execution.
• Facilitate workshops, demos, and status meetings to ensure alignment and transparency.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Mentor junior Business Analysts and share best practices.
• Contribute to standards and templates for documentation and requirements management.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.
• Strong understanding of business process modeling, requirements elicitation techniques, and documentation standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Visio, and requirements management platforms such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, including writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Knowledge of SQL for data analysis and validation.
• Exposure to Azure DevOps for backlog management and traceability.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience with additional Agile tools and methodologies.
• Familiarity with process automation opportunities.

Special Considerations:

• Government equipment must not be taken or used outside of the United States under any circumstances.
• Selected candidates must accept the offered position within 48 hours of vendor notification.
• All compliance items must be completed and uploaded within 5 business days after acceptance.
• Fingerprint check is required for the selected candidate.
• Candidates must be located in or willing to relocate to Ohio.

Scheduling:

• Initially remote work with eventual transition to in-office at 1221 McKinley Avenue, Columbus, Ohio.
• Contract period from November 2, 2026, to June 30, 2027.
