We are looking for a skilled Copywriter to join a FinTech team in California on a contract basis. This role focuses on shaping compelling campaign content, product messaging, lifecycle communications, and easy-to-understand explanations of financial offerings for both consumer and client audiences. The ideal candidate brings strong creative judgment, excellent writing discipline, and the ability to translate regulated financial topics into clear, brand-aligned language. You will work closely with cross-functional partners in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, collaboration, and timely delivery are essential.Responsibilities:• Create persuasive and informative copy for marketing campaigns, product communications, and customer lifecycle initiatives across multiple channels.• Translate detailed financial and lending-related concepts into language that is clear, accurate, and approachable for external audiences.• Collaborate with designers, product marketing partners, and other stakeholders to develop cohesive messaging, align on narrative direction, and meet project milestones.• Partner with Compliance to refine messaging through review cycles and ensure all content satisfies regulatory standards.• Manage multiple assignments at once, providing clear updates on progress and delivering high-quality work within agreed deadlines.• Adapt messaging ideas into different formats while maintaining a consistent voice and high editorial quality.• Review and revise content based on stakeholder feedback, strengthening clarity, effectiveness, and brand consistency.• Use performance insights and internal learnings to inform content improvements and propose new creative approaches where appropriate. Hourly rate: $60–$70
